Well, I was playing around with the beta today and, while visually impressive and seemingly doing justice to the source material (as far as I can tell, I am not a huge Star Wars fan), I just see this as a skin for Battlefield 4. Now, BF4 was not a bad game once they hammered out all of the technical glitches, but I guess I was hoping for something more than just an online shooter. A whole generation has grown up on the FPS, but I am not part of that generation, and I don't have the time, or the desire, to work my way up to being competitive online. I like the occasional FPS for some mindless fun with lots of visual appeal, but it is not the genre that I choose to spend the most time with. If this game had a bot mode where you could set up these grand battles and play them against the CPU (or with some local co-op partners/enemies), I would consider buying it, but I can't really tell if that is the case or not. If it is just Titanfall set in the Star Wars universe, I'll have to pass.
EDIT: I should also mention that the PC version runs surprisingly well.
