The Marty has Tatsujin 2 which is worth a lot of points as far as I'm concerned.

Totally agree. I think the Marty, for all of its flaws, carries the banner of systems like the MSX and Sharp x68000. The others are either borderline or complete failures, even if they were more slightly more popular.

NEC PC-FX when it comes to original, beautiful FMV games. Although I understand the liking to FMT Marty since it features more arcade-oriented games that do not require Japanese knowledge to enjoy.

NEC PC-FX when it comes to original, beautiful FMV games. Interesting. I have never really given the FMV games on the FX a hard look. Lots of people think you have to look for the rare non-FMV games on the FX to find quality (games like Tyoushin Heiki Zeroigar), but I would be curious to see what the FMV side of things has to offer.

It's a shame they require Japanese knowledge, otherwise I would love to invest time collecting for such a console. I suggest you visit PC-FX World - a great informative site all about the software, hardware, prototypes, games, reviews and accessories. I agree, Kishin Doji Zenki: Vajura Fight is the first game that comes to mind.

I had to go with 3DO since I used to own it and enjoyed it thoroughly. There were some great US games and some cool Japanese imports (yuyu hakusho was great)....I always wanted a Marty and pc-fx but never owned either of them. I remember drooling on the pages of diehard game fan magazine when I was looking at all the screen shots of those fmv anime games for the FX.
