I spent a good deal of time this summer picking up some of the fighting games I've always wanted for the Saturn. This is my Capcom collection thus far.

Great finds. I have noticed my thrift shops(goodwill, savers etc.) started checking the prices on games and its tough to get a deal lately. I used to find a ton of stuff there but in the past 2-3 years they have become more "corporate" and have a larger following. Its all in the thrill of the chase but the prices are retro gamestore list prices. the thrill is gone.

Nice collection of Capcom fighters there in that photo, and the Japanese Saturn packaging looks so nice after all these years. I got Vampire Savior just after the start of this year. I still have to play it as my modded Saturn's switch is broken and I haven't picked up an Action Replay for my replacement machine. Marvel Super Heroes I got on my birthday in 1997(it was a good and memorable birthday too). I don't know how deep you plan to get with Capcom fighters, but I think there are several others. Just moments ago, I recalled that they released a mecha fighting game, Cyberbots. That might at least be worth some research if you haven't already investigated.
My most recent pickup is WWF Attitude for the original Playstation. I would not be admitting that in public(not because it's a wrestling game, though my taste at that point was AJPW) except that the game happened to come with a PSone system(the tiny one) and its dual shock controller. The PSone is a really nice design.

Cyberbots is definitely on my list, as are the remaining Vampire Savior games and Pocket Fighter. I think that will round out the Capcom side of things as far as 2D fighters go. There is a Final Fight fighting game, in a similar vein as Rival Schools, but that is astronomically expensive. It may actually be the last officially released Japanese Saturn game. As far as other companies go, the big one on my list is Astra Stars, followed by the rest of the KoF and Fatal Fury series, but the prices on the SNK stuff are not that bad.

I recently got Real Bout over the summer. What do you think of it? I was surprised by how smooth and polished it is. I am not a huge Fatal Fury fan, but this game is one of the best 2D fighters I've played from the era! Maybe that enthusiasm is a bit misguided because I am not terribly familiar with FF past FFII, but that is my initial impression.

Yeah, I was also surprised how clean the sprites looked compared to other fighters (or Fatal Fury titles) I also love the background-foreground mechanic. Very nice CAPCOM fighter set. Excellent titles, especially Street Fighter Zero 3. I was just watching a graphical comparison video for Marvel Super Heroes using the RAM cart feature you might find interesting.

Oddly enough, I got into SNK fighters thanks to KOF 97 and tried out a bunch of others, but I never got around to trying much of the Fatal Fury games. KOF seemed like it was good enough for that style of fighter, plus I liked the team format. Even on Neo Geo Pocket, Fatal Fury was always my lowest priority.
Your Genesis haul looks quite good, mostly. TMNT is said to be quite awful. Phantasy Star 2 shows its age. Phantasy Star 4 is my favorite RPG. I think Sega managed to infuse a little bit of an arcade feel into it as it runs quickly and the plot moves along pretty briskly as well.

After months of waiting, my copy of Saturn Bomberman finally arrived. This has been on my must buy list for a while and I happy to finally have the chance to play it. Many say it is the best Bomberman game of all time. I am looking forward to finding out.
